If there ever was a laid back couple on a wedding day, it would be Adam and Katie. They were all smiles and so relaxed. They have known each other for a number of years and some beautiful kids. Don't they just look great!

Some wedding days are really special and this was definitely one of them. It's great to see such happiness through facial expressions and that sparkle in one's eye. How cute are these bridesmaids!

I had Cathie who was a great help who took shots of the groom getting ready and the venue

First look. Sam is a funny guy and can get Donna laughing in no time.

I love the colours that the London Barbican has in the ceiling.

Everyone was in awe of Julia's opera performance. She was simply incredible!

It was really nice to have the ceremony and the evening portion all in one location, none other at the Baribican. I loved the vegetation so close to the concrete jungle of London.

How cool is this wedding cake! A cupcake for each guest! I love it!

Alright, this family is funny to the extreme. I couldn't stop laughing. Donald, the best man, I would venture to say that he could be the next Michael McIntyre, or even Sam or his dad. I love their witty humour!

It was great to see them smile so much during their first dance. And later on the evening, this kid got a lot of attention from his dance moves. Love it!

It was an honour to be part of your day! It was so special and fun. Donna and Sam, I want to thank you for letting me part of your special day and wish you all the best!

This day couldn't have happened without some great vendors involved.

Do you ever meet the type of person that you gravitate to? That's what eventually happened to me. So who's this person...well, in this instance, it's Jasmine Star. I came across her blog back when it was on Google blogger. Yep with the black background and all. She had some interesting stories, cool images and I liked the way she wrote. It was very straight forward in a casual ghetto type of way. And I liked it. Sometimes on blogs, things can seem so formal. But she wrote in a way that you'd write a note to someone in high school, fold it up all special and pass it along. Over time, she got this cool blog in magazine style layout, images improved and basically took the photography world by storm. I've read that she wanted to shoot a wedding in the UK but I never thought I'd meet her here. So she finally decided to do a workshop in London and the rest is history. You can always learn something which photography is a on-going learning process. Joe McNally once said he's been in the industry for 30 years and is still learning.

Before it all started, imagine 20 wedding photographers at the Sanctum Soho Hotel rooftop at a lovely mixer. It was cool. So what did we do for the actual day? Well we ate. I love food!

OneMarylebone_JasmineStar_LeoBojesen01.jpg

We talked about the importance of branding. And we got to do some shooting. We watched how Jasmine interacts with the couple. But in the beginning of the afternoon, she was like, "ok, who wants to be first and shoot here". Well, I wanted to shoot there, I rose my hand and got rooted on by my peers, "yay, go Leo!" Glad I got some encouragement. It's a bit intimidating having 20 photographers look at you and pressure is on to make something cool and that represents me. Ok, gotta act all cool. Think quick, you can do it. A few quick shots and my turn was over.  But here's some more shots from the afternoon. It was a good experience. When the day was over, we went to dinner together and hung out. It was my favourite part of the day. Let me tell you, this was a whole day experience.

So who is this rockin' person who set this entire thing up. It was Kat from Rock 'n' Roll Bride.

OneMarylebone_JasmineStar_LeoBojesen14.jpg

I'd like to thank Jasmine and her husband JD for being so cool and helpful. I appreciated how Jasmine took time to listen to questions. Yes, she has a big smile. And yes, she likes to laugh. And yes, she likes to have a good time. She probably focused more on listening due to the British accent but respected that. I'd also like to thank all involved. Check out these vendors!

I had the fortunate opportunity to meet Jasmine and JD and to hang out with them for a bit more than a day. Here's a sneak peek. And just for your information, this couple just got married in February. Kat from Rock 'n' Roll Bride tried to get a couple and long story short, got Dan and Rach. They were amazing and easy going. Surely they're going to get some fab images from one of the world's best wedding photographers and 20 other photographers!

Internet romance. Yep, it happened for Donna and Sam as it did for some of his friends. And now they come together and plan their big day. I'm so looking forward to their wedding at the London Barbican coming up soon.
